Gina Rodriguez to Host & Executive Produce Marie Claire “Young Women’s Honors” Presented by Clinique on December 19th on the CW Network

LOS ANGELES – (October 6, 2016) – Award winning actress and socially conscious crusader Gina Rodriguez will serve as host and executive producer of Marie Claire “Young Women’s Honors” presented by Clinique on Monday, December 19 at 9 PM EST on The CW Network. The show will celebrate women of achievement, vision and drive who are making a difference in their respective fields including philanthropy, technology, science, education, environmentalism and more.

“My goal in creating Young Women’s Honors is to generate positivity, inclusivity, unlimited potential, and the possibility every woman is born with,” said Rodriguez. “As a young Latina, I had to break down barriers and overcome naysayers. When you see someone following their dreams, it gives you allowance to follow your own. Honorees are selected by a prestigious blue ribbon panel including Anne Fulenwider, Editor-in-Chief, Marie Claire; Jane Lauder, Global Brand President, Clinique; Dr. Julie Vose, Immediate Past President, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO); Liz Rodbell, President, of Lord and Taylor and Hudson Bay Companies; Susan N. Herman, Centennial Professor of Law/President, ACLU; Dr. Stacy Smith, Director of Media, Diversity & Social Change Initiative, USC Annenberg; Michelle King, Superintendent, Los Angeles Unified School District and Anousheh Ansari, Chairwoman, Prodea Systems/ Board of Trustees XPrize. Rodriguez will serve as Chairperson of the Panel.

The show will share untold stories of inspiration from empowered females worldwide who are breaking down barriers and debunking stereotypes. Confirmed honorees will be announced at a later time.

Gina Rodriguez and Emily Gipson will serve as executive producers for I Can & I Will Productions. Andrea Regalado as co-executive producer. Good Entertainment (Teen Choice Awards) and Primary Wave Entertainment will serve as the studio to produce and co-finance the televised awards ceremony. Michael Burg, David Guillod and Jeff Straughn will serve as executive producers, along with and Ben Silverman for Propagate Content.
